The 荣誉 College at North Alabama offers a variety of courses fall and spring that help meet University degree requirements as well as 荣誉 College Requirements. We are adding courses every semester.
Information on 荣誉 Courses and Contracting
An honors course contract is an agreement between a faculty member and an 荣誉 Student that allows the student to obtain 荣誉 credit for a standard course. The agreement typically allows the student to delve deeper into the course material and produce a project, 研究, 或纸. The student and faculty member determine the outcome.
Here is how to contract a course in 4 easy steps! Remember Proposal forms are due within the first two weeks of classes and completion forms are due on study day. Current Students, please go to the 荣誉 Canvas Page for the most relevant instructions.
- Pick a current or upcoming course you would like to contract.
- Talk to the Professor about a reasonable project(faculty information).
- Fill out the Contract Proposal Form with a description of the project and signatures (yours and the professor's) and upload the form to the appropriate assignment on the 荣誉 Canvas page.
- Complete the project, Fill out the Contract Completion Form, have the professor sign, and upload the form to the appropriate assignment on the 荣誉 Canvas Page.

The 荣誉 Forum (HON 101H) is only offered in the Fall and is required for all incoming first-year students.
荣誉 Intro to Philosophy (PHL 201H), 荣誉 General Psychology (PS 201H), 荣誉 Calculus (MA 125H), and 荣誉 General Chemistry (CH 111H) are typically only offered during the Fall semester. 荣誉 Sociology (SO 221H) and 荣誉 Principals of Macro Economics are typically only offered during the Spring semester. We encourage all 荣誉 students to take the 荣誉 version of a course when possible. For the most up to date course availability, please look up courses in your portal under registration - look up courses.
